Re is an onchain reinsurance protocol built by the Resilience Foundation, bringing real-world insurance premiums into DeFi through tokenized yield products. Its main assets, reUSD and reUSDe, represent senior and mezzanine tranches backed by regulated reinsurance programs, offering stable or enhanced returns that are largely uncorrelated to crypto markets. reUSD focuses on predictable, premium-backed yield with senior tranche protection and daily price accretion, while reUSDe targets higher returns with additional risk exposure.
