Agilent Technologies Inc., spun off from Hewlett-Packard in 1999, has grown into a leading life sciences and diagnostics company. Its measurement technologies serve a broad customer base through three operating segments: life science and diagnostics, cross lab operations focused on consumables and services, and applied markets. More than half of Agilent’s revenue comes from the biopharmaceutical, chemical, and advanced materials markets, which are considered its most durable end markets, while the company also serves clinical laboratories, environmental, forensics, food, academic, and government-related organizations. Agilent maintains a geographically diversified business, with the United States and China representing its largest country markets.
