Ambev S.A. is the largest brewer in Latin America and the Caribbean and serves as Anheuser-Busch InBev’s regional subsidiary. The company produces, distributes, and sells beer and PepsiCo products in Brazil and other Latin American markets, and it also owns Quinsa, Argentina’s largest brewer. Ambev was created in 1999 through the merger of Brahma and Antarctica, Brazil’s two largest beverage companies. In 2004, it combined with Canadian brewer Labatt, resulting in AB InBev holding a 62% controlling stake.
