The company produces gold from operations across eight countries: Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Egypt, Ghana, Guinea, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Tanzania, with additional greenfield projects in the United States and Colombia. Its primary product is gold, which is processed on site into doré, or unrefined gold bars, before being shipped to precious metals refineries. AngloGold Ashanti generates most of its revenue from Africa, including the Kibali, Iduapriem, Obuasi, Siguiri, Geita, and Sukari mines, followed by Australia with Sunrise Dam and Tropicana, and then the Americas, which include Cerro Vanguardia, AngloGold Ashanti Mineração, and Serra Grande.
