Casey’s General Stores Inc operates a convenience store chain with approximately 2,900 locations across the Midwestern United States. Roughly half of its stores are situated in rural communities with populations below 5,000. Although fuel sales are an important source of customer traffic, nearly two-thirds of the company’s gross profit comes from in-store sales of grocery products, prepared food, and general merchandise. Casey’s owns more than 90% of its stores and manages most of its warehousing and distribution operations in-house.
