Equinor ASA is a Norway-based integrated oil and gas company. Publicly listed since 2001, the company remains majority owned by the Norwegian government, which holds a 67% stake. Its core operations are centered on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, where it produced 2.1 million barrels of oil equivalent per day in 2025, with liquids accounting for 50% of output. At the end of 2025, Equinor reported 5.2 billion barrels of proven reserves, of which 45% were liquids. The company’s operations also include oil refining, natural gas processing, marketing, and trading.
