The company ranks among the largest power producers in the United States, with 27 gigawatts of rate-regulated owned and leased generation capacity. Entergy was once the second-largest nuclear owner in the US before beginning the retirement and sale of its Northeastern plants in 2014. In 2025, it divested its two small gas utilities in Louisiana.
