Fomento Economico Mexicano, S.A.B. de C.V. (FMX), or Femsa, is a Mexico-based beverage and retail conglomerate with operations across Central and South America. The holding company owns a controlling interest in Coca-Cola Femsa, with a 47% economic stake and 56% voting rights, and also operates fully owned retail businesses, including Oxxo convenience stores, drugstores, and gas stations. In 2023, the company divested its 15% stake in Heineken as well as its distribution business. By 2025, Coca-Cola Femsa and the Oxxo chain accounted for more than 70% of total revenue and over 90% of company profits.
