The Hershey Company is a leading U.S. confectionery manufacturer in a market worth about $55 billion, according to Euromonitor, and holds a 35% share of the domestic chocolate aisle. In addition to its flagship Hershey brand, the company has built a portfolio of roughly 100 brands over the past 85 years, including Reese’s, Kit Kat, Kisses, and Ice Breakers. Hershey products are available in around 80 countries, though only a high-single-digit percentage of revenue comes from international markets such as Brazil, India, and Mexico. The company has also pursued acquisitions to expand beyond its core confectionery business, adding Amplify Snack Brands and its SkinnyPop ready-to-eat popcorn, along with Pirate Brands, Dot’s Pretzels, and LesserEvil in recent years.
