ITT Inc. traces its roots to International Telephone & Telegraph, founded in 1920. After decades of acquisitions during the mid-20th century, the company expanded from manufacturing telephone switching equipment into businesses including hotels, car rentals, insurance, and bread baking. In 1995, ITT was divided into three separate companies, one of which became the ITT operating today. Following additional spinoffs in 2011, ITT Inc. now provides automotive, industrial, and aerospace products, including brake pads, seals, pumps, valves, connectors, and regulators. The company operates globally, with significant exposure to North America, Europe, and Asia.
