After Johnson Controls’ 2025 divestiture of its residential and light commercial HVAC businesses to Bosch, the company derives nearly all of its revenue from commercial HVAC (60%) and fire and security products and services (40%). The 2016 merger of Johnson Controls’ HVAC operations with Tyco’s fire and security businesses was based on the premise that offering a broader range of automation products and solutions to commercial buildings would create synergies. On a pro forma basis, we estimate Johnson Controls’ revenue mix at roughly one-third products, one-third installation, and one-third services.
