Through its tobacco subsidiaries, the company holds the leading share in the U.S. cigarette and smokeless tobacco markets, as well as the number-two position in machine-made cigars. Its Marlboro brand remained the top cigarette brand in the United States, with a 40% market share in 2024. Outside its core tobacco operations, Altria owns an 8% stake in Anheuser-Busch InBev, the world’s largest brewer, and a 41% interest in cannabis producer Cronos.
