Rogers Communications Inc. is Canada’s largest wireless service provider, serving more than 11 million subscribers, or roughly one-third of the country’s total wireless market. Its wireless division generates more than half of total revenue and has been expanding faster than the company’s other businesses. Following the Shaw acquisition, the cable segment contributes about 38% of revenue and provides home internet, television, and landline phone services to both consumers and businesses. The rest of Rogers’ revenue comes from its media division, which owns and operates a range of television and radio stations as well as major Toronto sports franchises, including the Blue Jays, Maple Leafs, Raptors, Toronto FC, and Argonauts.
