Sandisk Corporation is one of the world’s five largest suppliers of NAND flash memory semiconductors. The company is vertically integrated, manufacturing nearly all of its flash chips in Japan through a joint venture with Kioxia. It also repackages most of these chips into SSDs for consumer devices, external storage, and cloud storage applications. Formerly part of Western Digital following its 2016 acquisition, Sandisk operated within the company for nine years before becoming an independent business again in 2025.
