AT&T Inc. generates nearly 70% of its revenue from its wireless segment and ranks as the third-largest wireless carrier in the United States, serving 74 million postpaid and 17 million prepaid phone customers. Its fixed-line enterprise business, which contributes about 14% of revenue, provides internet access, private networking, security, voice services, and wholesale network capacity. Residential services account for roughly 11% of revenue and are primarily focused on in-home broadband internet, reaching 15 million customers. AT&T also maintains a meaningful wireless presence in Mexico with 25 million customers, although this market represents only 3% of total revenue. The company recently divested its 70% equity stake in satellite TV provider DirecTV to its partner, private equity firm TPG.
