Teck Resources Limited price chart
Teck Resources Limited is a base metals mining company with copper and zinc operations across Canada, the United States, Chile, and Peru. Following the sale of its metallurgical coal business, copper has become Teck’s largest commodity by EBITDA contribution, with zinc remaining the second-largest. Teck is also one of the world’s top three zinc producers. Its major new copper project in Chile, the majority-owned Quebrada Blanca 2 mine developed in partnership with Sumitomo, is expected to increase Teck’s attributable copper production by about 80%. Supported by additional copper growth opportunities, Teck’s strategy is focused on rebalancing its portfolio toward low-carbon metals such as copper. The company sold its oil sands business in early 2023 and its coal business in mid-2024. In September 2025, Teck agreed to merge with Anglo American in an all-equity transaction.
