Union Pacific Corp., headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, is the largest publicly traded railroad in North America. The company operates more than 30,000 miles of track across the western two-thirds of the United States and generated $24.5 billion in revenue in 2025. Union Pacific transports a diverse mix of freight, including coal, industrial products, intermodal containers, agricultural goods, chemicals, fertilizers, and automotive products. It also owns roughly a one-fourth stake in Mexican railroad Ferromex and has historically generated about 10% of its revenue from cross-border freight shipments to and from Mexico.
