Yum China Holdings, Inc. Common Stock price chart
Yum China Holdings is China’s largest restaurant operator, with more than 18,000 locations and USD 12 billion in systemwide sales as of 2025. The company derives most of its revenue from company-owned restaurants and franchise fees. KFC and Pizza Hut are its core brands, while its broader portfolio also includes Little Sheep, Taco Bell, Huang Ji Huang, and Lavazza. As a trademark licensee of Yum Brands, Yum China pays 3% of KFC and Pizza Hut systemwide sales to its former parent company, from which it was spun off in 2016. Even before the spinoff, however, Yum China had been granted significant autonomy, allowing its local management to make key decisions on menu development, supply chain operations, and marketing—an uncommon arrangement for Western restaurant chains at the time.
