CRO is the native cryptocurrency of Crypto.com, a centralized cryptocurrency exchange platform launched in 2016 and based in Singapore, which surpassed 100 million users in 2024. As its name suggests, Internet Computer aims to be a "global computer" for enterprises. The architecture is based on "subnets," which are separate blockchain networks hosted on data centers around the world, that businesses can customize as needed.
