Bitcoin Cash (BCH) vs Internet Computer (ICP)

Bitcoin Cash is a Proof of Work (PoW) blockchain that was born on August 1, 2017, following a hard fork from Bitcoin due to a disagreement within the Bitcoin community. While the majority of the community chose to adopt the SegWit proposal, a dissenting faction decided to split the blockchain (hard fork) and implement their own improvement, namely an increase in block size from 1 MB to 8 MB, following the original vision of Satoshi Nakamoto.

Internet Computer is a layer 1 blockchain protocol providing decentralized infrastructure for building software, websites, databases, servers, and other IT services for businesses. As its name suggests, Internet Computer aims to be a "global computer" for enterprises. The architecture is based on "subnets," which are separate blockchain networks hosted on data centers around the world, that businesses can customize as needed.
