Lido Finance is a liquid staking protocol for the Ethereum and Polygon blockchains, allowing users to participate in securing these networks while maintaining the liquidity of their assets through the issuance of a liquid staking token (named st[token] depending on the blockchain). Lido develops the necessary infrastructure to operate validator nodes, thus providing an ideal solution for investors who neither have the technical skills required nor the amount of cryptocurrency needed to become validators themselves. LDO is the governance token of the protocol, allowing participation in the decentralized autonomous organization (DAO).
